Interactive Urban Design & Digital Art Project
| Scope | Interactive Digital Art Project |
| Location | Tianjin, China |
| Year | 2006 |
| Team | A collaboration between Charles Anderson, ASPECT Studios, AE (Asia) and Buro + Holt |
The nine Pavillions of the Hai He River located between the HaiHe DaGu Bridge and the HaiHe Bridge aims to set the River Promenade and its associated themed parks as a global exemplar project of its type: That is a single unified river promenade.
The ambition of the Hai He River Pavillions is to reinforce and connect the completed river promenades as a single entity, displaying the traditions, history and achievements of Tianjin in an interactive and iterative manner. Equally important it provides a platform for the City's future; capturing the achievements, knowledge, interests, and participation of the people and their City in a dynamic manner that looks to the future and learns from the past. In its essence it is both educational and informative as well as demonstration of cultural and media excellence. Perhaps more importantly it is a place of dreaming and imagining, a place encouraging a creative engagement with the life of the city.
