Working with local community, Words for Water takes children’s words for water and transforms them into weathering steel; a permeable house or sailing vessel beached and on the point of ‘keeling’ over. Modelling and the production of detailed marquettes allowed the design to resolve its fine detail. The project involved extensive discussion with fabricators to produce a robust and enduring result of exceptional quality.
